Accessibility statement

What works, what doesn't yet, and how to reach us if anything on this site gets in your way.

Last updated: July 2026

Our commitment

Anyone should be able to find our number and get help with their car, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across this website, and we treat anything that blocks someone from contacting us as a defect to fix, not a nice-to-have.

What's built in

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks — header, navigation, main content and footer — so screen readers can move around the page structure.
  • Every control is a real link or button, so the site can be operated with a keyboard alone.
  • We keep the browser's visible focus outline rather than suppressing it, so you can always see where you are.
  • The site honours your “reduced motion” system setting: scroll animations are switched off and moving elements are stilled.
  • High-contrast text for headings and body copy, and text that scales with your browser's zoom and font-size settings.
  • Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers, and star or icon graphics carry text equivalents.
  • The site works without JavaScript for its core purpose — reading the pages and calling us.

Known limitations

We're not perfect yet. The honest list:

  • Some small supporting text uses a light grey that doesn't meet the AA contrast ratio everywhere. We're tightening this.
  • There's no “skip to content” link yet, so keyboard users tab through the header on each page.
  • The scrolling strip of car-make logos moves continuously unless your system asks for reduced motion.
  • The callback form reports one error at a time rather than listing every problem at once, so a form with two mistakes takes two attempts to correct.
  • The site hasn't yet had a formal audit by an external accessibility specialist.

How we test

We check pages with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom up to 200%, and the reduced-motion setting switched on, and we review new pages against WCAG 2.2 AA as they're built. This statement is reviewed whenever the site changes materially.
